I was thinking,

I really hate how people compare the Camaro ZL1 to the Shelby GT500. I dont know if you people have noticed or not but a Shelby Mustang is not stock. They are a separate company, yes they have a contract, but everything they do is above and beyond stock. Essentially they are just adding to the car. They take a mustang and add power, the same thing Yenko and Motion used to do with the Camaro. In no way is that an equal comparison of the two. I understand they are compared to one another because thats basically what they were designed for but the fact remains the same, one is stock, the other isn’t. A fair comparison would be the Camaro SS vs the Mustang GT. Although I still love the fact that Shelby wont race the new ZL1 at the Nurburgring in Germany.

The bike has come a hell of a long way from stock, the original twin cylinder has a DOHC with 8 valves and is capable of 110mph so it’s a surprise that we don’t see more cafe racer builds using this model as the platform.

The team at Karnage Kustoms pulled the XS500 to pieces and went over each element, reducing weight and tossing unnecessary parts, the bike is fitted with R-1 rear sets, a stack of cafe racer equipment from Dime City Cycles, the carburettors have been rebuilt and the engine has been thoroughly sorted.
